This @usma60.com is a forwarding address.  That means that you have to do absolutely nothing if you choose as a result of this assignment.  E-mail addressed to your @usma60.com address will appear in your regular mail box along with all of your other mail.  On the other hand, if you like the idea of using your @usma60.com address you may freely publish it and you will still receive the mail in your normal fashion.  A forwarding address such as this has the advantage that once your correspondents begin using it, if you ever change your underlying address you need only notify Bob Totten.  He will change the forwarding setting and none of your correspondents will ever notice that there has been a change.  This can save you a lot of work trying to notify everyone who has ever had your old address.  If you are using Microsoft Outlook you can make publishing this address easier by changing the setting for “E-Mail Address” on the account setup page to your @usma60.com address.  That won’t change anything involving the handling or your e-mail.  It will just make your @usma60.com address show on the message.

Using your @usma60.com address is one way of identifying with the class and with West Point.  I know there are other considerations for using a particular address, but we hope you will consider the advantages of @usma60.com.
